BBB Investigates Local Company "Personally Yours"
Personal Service Missing from "Personally Yours"

LAS VEGAS, NV—February 29, 2012 – BBB is alerting consumers of Las Vegas company Personally Yours, who, according to 123 complaints, charges consumers for personalized clothing and fails to deliver the product on time, or in some cases, at all.

“I ordered a personalized T-shirt for my grandson’s birthday in September 2011 and still have not received it,” said Ohio consumer Dawn Frederick.  “The company continues to avoid my refund requests.”

In some responses to BBB complaints, the company apologizes for delays and explains they are a small company with the goal to deliver orders within 7-10 business days.  Consumers complain of difficulty contacting the company after not receiving their orders in the specified time period.

“I paid for expedited shipping in order to receive my son’s T-shirt in time for our Disneyland trip, and was told my order would be processed within 2-3 business days,” stated Lauren Sparks, a Maryland consumer.  “I finally received the shirt weeks after our trip which was useless to me by that point.  I’ve been promised a refund and have never received it.”

In June 2011, the company posted a disclaimer on their website apologizing for the delayed orders due to a high volume of sales during the Holiday Season.  Since the disclaimer was posted, the BBB has received more than 80 complaints referencing delivery issues, and closed more than 30 complaints as “unanswered.”

“When making online purchases, the best recourse consumers have is to pay by credit card,” said Robert Crockett, CEO of the BBB serving Southern Nevada.  “In the event of fraud, non-delivery, or non-communication with a business, consumers can dispute charges with their credit card company to try and receive refunds.”

The company's 800 number and one of their local phone numbers are no longer in service.  The company has an F rating with the BBB and the BBB continues to receive a high volume of complaints regarding failed delivery issues.
