April Shred Event Results
Over 300 People ServedTwice a year, In April and October, BBBs across the country host free shredding events to promote document security and prevent identity theft. On April 20, 2013, attendees shredded sensitive documents, recycled electronic waste, and provided 911 Cell Phone Bank with old cell phones to be used for emergency services. BBB also provided consumers with ID theft protection information and a credit card protective sleeve to protect against credit card skimmers.

Results from Past 4 Shred Events:
- October 2011: 52,000 lbs
- April 2012: 42,000 lbs
- October 2012: 62,600 lbs of documents, 3,000 lbs of e-waste
- April 2013: 30,000 lbs of documents, 500 lbs of e-waste
